I like taking photos since 10 years ago. I remember that when I asked my dad for a Single Lens Reflect camera (SLR), he bought me a Canon EOS 50 (I had almost never had anything I wanted from him before this…) I have no idea why he bought me a Canon, but looking back from now I think he made a very wise choice.
Photography is an art. You do not need to be skillful in order to make an artistic master piece. However, you do need to know what you want to have and how you can get it with your camera. That’s the only reason why there are so many courses and books teaching you how to “take photos” but not how to “take good photos”. For me, knowing what you want is far more important (and far more difficult) than knowing how to shoot.
